Portuguese Voices - Oral Histories of the Portuguese in California is an extended oral history collection. This digital archive features more than ten hours of videotaped oral stories of first generation Portuguese and the Portuguese descendants on California speaking about their religious traditions, personal stories, bullfight traditions, music traditions and much more. The interviewees / storytellers are first, second and third generation Portuguese descendants living in California. They range from ranch owners to high-school students, and represent a strong cross-section of all Portuguese in California.
